Strait Crafts Fair Opens In Putian, Fujian

The autumn wind is refreshing, and the sweet osmanthus is fragrant.

On the morning of October 29th, the colored flag of Putian arts and crafts fair was launched. The third China (Putian) Straits handicraft fair was solemnly opened here, and thousands of guests from home and abroad gathered together to enjoy the good quality and seek common development.

The Art Fair is sponsored by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the China Light Industry Federation and the Fujian Provincial People's government. The theme is "dancing art and the business opportunities of the world".

He said that over the years, Fujian has made unremitting efforts in promoting cross-strait economic and trade exchanges and cooperation, achieved remarkable results, and made remarkable achievements in various trade and economic activities. The Strait Crafts Fair held in Putian, as a large-scale and highly developed arts and crafts exhibition, provided an opportunity for the entrepreneurs and artists of the two sides to provide a good platform for displaying the achievements and characteristics of the cross-strait arts and crafts industry, and played an active role in promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. It will help further expand the field of cross-strait economic and trade cooperation and enhance the level of cross-strait cooperation.

Yang Zhihai said in his speech that the Putian municipal Party committee and the municipal government attached great importance to the development of the characteristic economy of Arts and crafts, and the development of Putian's arts and crafts industrialization took the lead in the whole country.

The third Art Fair is a professional exhibition with high starting point and high quality. It fully demonstrates the good momentum of the flourishing development of Putian arts and crafts industry.

It is hoped that Putian will further implement the Scientific Outlook on Development, further promote the development of Arts and crafts industry through the holding of art fair, further enhance communication and relations between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits, and further carry forward the traditional Chinese culture.

Li Chuan, on behalf of the provincial government, extended a warm welcome to all the compatriots across the Taiwan Strait and the compatriots across the Straits.

Li Chuan said that in recent years, governments at all levels in Fujian province have created a very good environment for the development of Arts and crafts industry. The province's arts and crafts industry has grasped opportunities for development and achieved sustained and rapid development.

Fujian has become the key production area and main export base of China's arts and crafts industry, and its position in the national arts and crafts industry is increasingly prominent.

The arts and crafts industry is playing a more and more important role in expanding social employment, promoting the development of cultural industry, enriching people's life and enhancing exchanges and cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan.

Li Chuan said that China Strait arts and crafts fair is located in Putian, the hometown of Mazu. This is the closest place to mainland China from Taiwan island. Putian is also one of the characteristics of the national arts and crafts industry. It is one of the fastest growing cities in the Taiwan Straits economic zone.

We believe that with the growth of the art fair, Putian's arts and crafts industry will be able to achieve new development by leaps and bounds. It will play a more important role in promoting cross-strait economic and cultural exchanges and promoting the development of China's arts and crafts industry.

At the opening ceremony, the China Arts and Crafts Association awarded the plaque of the "silver township of China" in Xiuyu district. Mayor Zhang Guosheng and Taichung county magistrate Huang Zhongsheng signed a memorandum of understanding between Putian and Taichung County. The leaders also awarded certificates to 15 fifth masters of Chinese arts and crafts and 91 masters of the third Fujian arts and crafts.

It is learned that this art fair will be held for 5 days, with a total area of 145 thousand square meters. More than 500 famous companies will display thousands of exquisite workmanship. During this period, handicrafts, paintings and collectibles will be held, cross-strait Symposium on handicraft cooperation and exchange, 2008 "Hua Bang Cup" the first Chinese traditional furniture design Grand Prix, and the selection of excellent works.
